I've decided to try and get my head around the fully hybrid 2D-3D workflow that Blender has to offer for storyboarding. I've used Maya a bit before so I'm not fully fresh-in to the world of 3D but it's been fun.
SO! Learning on the job I've just about finished laying out this short sequence with a rough pass of drawings and wanted to share. It's an exerpt from an old project about an androgynous lady who gets her arm possessed by a benign, super powerful AI that's trying to escape from the capsule she was stuck in. We don't really get that much into that in this scene, but that's what the weird arm is about. Thanks for looking! :)
Also for anyone interested, here's some links to the youtube vids I found most helpful.

Here today, Gnome Tomorrow
I've started doing a warmup excercise called 'next 5' where I draw the next 5 shots that could happen. It's nice doing something so small so I can keep it really rough and have fun with it.
Just one this time, I went a little overboard on it because I was having a good time. Enjoy :)

I'm not 100% sure where this idea came from, but I think it was from a hashtag on twitter in days of old where people drew potential next 5s for the same image. Anyway so here's the first three I did :) |
